The Greater Wisconsin Committee accepts contributions from individuals, businesses, labor organizations, trade associations, or other groups that share its views on public policy issues.

Contributions are not tax deductible. Under federal 501(c)(4) regulations, we do not disclose donors, although some donors may choose to make their participation public if they so desire.

Greater Wisconsin Committee Structure headline

The Greater Wisconsin Committee is a Wisconsin nonstock corporation with tax-exempt status. We are a section 501(c)(4) organization under Internal Revenue Service rules. A 501(c)(4) organization influences legislation and/or influences public opinion.

We are independent issue advocates. We do not support or work in cooperation with any candidate for Wisconsin or federal office or with any individual or political party committee that could be considered an agent of a candidate. We coordinate with other organizations engaged in independent activities, including other tax exempt organizations. The Greater Wisconsin Committee takes all the necessary legal steps to make sure our activities are in full compliance with state and federal law.

The Greater Wisconsin Political Action Committee is a state PAC registered with the Government Accountability Board and may support or oppose candidates through independent expenditure campaigns not coordinated with candidates or their committees.

The Greater Wisconsin Political Fund is a independent political organization known as a 527, which can engage in activities that support public issues, public officials, and candidates for public office.
