State Budget Television Campaign
These two commercials aired in 2005, after Gov. Doyle signed a state budget which froze property taxes for two years while protecting schools from thousands of teacher layoffs, increased class sizes, and program cuts.
At the same time, the budget ended state taxes on Social Security benefits, gave new tax deductions for college tuition and health insurance costs, and did it without increasing any other taxes.
The advertising campaign informed citizens of what the budget contained, invited them to tell Gov. Doyle their opinions of the budget, and sought to build support for allowing the budget to become law with no vetoes, which it did.

Radio campaign to stop Taxpayer Bill of Rights
In 2006, the Greater Wisconsin Committee worked with a coalition of groups opposed to a so-called Taxpayer Bill of Rights, which threatened funding for public schools, public safety and other vital needs. This commercial ran in the districts of four key State Senators, who all ended up voting against it.
